I’m going through similar problems. My little girl is struggling so much with going to sleep, but like yours she hates cuddles and massage etc! She’s very independent. I’m currently walking her around her bedroom hoping to be able to transfer her once she’s in a deep enough sleep. It didn’t used to be like this, I could walk out the room and she’d fall asleep in her cot
@Hollie debating whether to do one nap and wee but when do you do lunch?
@Alice our general day Wake and bottle 7am Breakfast 8.30 Lunch 11-11.30 Nap 12-3 ish (if he wakes before which is rarely or if were out and about and his sleep is interrupted ill always try get him to have a quick 30mins before tea) Bottle 3.30-4 Tea 5-5.30 Bed and bottle around 7 Since ive done this he literally takes 1 minute to goto sleep. Do what works best for you but at the moment this is working well for us hes even done a few days where he has slept 7pm-8am x
This could have been an absolute fluke, but my boy was fighting his second nap hard yesterday and I knew he was overtired and overstimulated from a busy afternoon. I remembered seeing a post on Instagram (cannot for the life of me find it again) about gently doing deep pressure massage on their legs. I lay him down his cot (this was after about 20 mins of resistance) and gently but firmly squeezed down his legs. He was asleep in 30 seconds and slept for 1.5 hours I’m certainly going to try it again if we have a similar situation!!
@Emily Oo thank you will try this!
@Alice it worked again tonight!
@Emily that’s amazing! We can’t currently put our little down in her cot, she just screams as soon as we put her down 😭
@Alice when mine was doing that i just would lie him down in cot and pat and shh him till he dropped off with some white noise
@Hollie thank you I have tried but she’s inconsolable. Patting and shushing her don’t work 😢
@Hollie she won't go down for 2-2.5 hours, she will literally wake up 30mins on the dot and not sleep again until her wake window is over
@Emily she wouldn't let me do the deep pressure massage, I will literally just touch her arm and she freaks out
@Sophie You may want to try letting her half a half hour nap in morning and 2 - 2.5 hour nap in afternoon sounds like overtiredness. My 10month had 1 3hour nap 12-3 in the day bed at 7pm up at 7am. Obviously every baby is different but might ne worth trying x
