Dad blowing on newborns face

I asked my dad to stop blowing on my baby’s face as a game earlier and he started to argue with me and called me a spoilsport. My baby is only 2 weeks old and spent the first week of life in the antenatal ward as she is unwell. I said this to my dad and he called me very silly and turned to my baby and said ‘your mummy is such a spoilsport’. I explained to him that I didn’t want her catching anything as she is high risk. Am I being silly and over reacting?

Um NO not at all he's lucky he's even meeting her yet! Some people ...!

The health and safety of your baby is never up for debate. Whether she was high risk or not, that’s simply unacceptable, and you asking him to stop and him not listening is disrespectful. I’ve been very firm if that people don’t respect my boundaries with my baby then they don’t get to see him, it’s not up for discussion or debate. Stand your ground x

Pretty sure when you blow on a newborns face they hold their breath, so actually it’s very serious that he doesn’t blow on their face, especially constantly! So never mind the germs I’d be more worried about the fact that he’s messing up their breathing pattern by doing it so much x
