Re-lactation

I'm 4 months PP and stopped breastfeeding around 2 months but I'm eager to start again. I know I'll have to pump religiously around the clock to build up my supply again but has anyone successfully re lactated after stopping breastfeeding? Any tips would help ☺️

Sorry I don’t have experience with this but if you have Facebook, there’s an amazing group called ‘Breastfeeding and Lactation Support UK’ where you can ask specialists this kind of thing, if needed. I’m a member of the group and love reading through people’s queries, I’ve learnt so much myself.

@Becky thank you so much! I will have a look at the group

No worries! It’s such a great group. From memory someone had re-lactation questions a while ago but I don’t fully remember what was advised, I think the specialists said to just feed as if you had just given birth so to just start feeding as you would before and your breasts will adjust themselves again but I don’t want to be held to that as it was so long ago now when I saw that query! Hope they can help you!

Speak to your HV as there should be lactation consultants/breastfeeding drop ins available in your borough who can support you through it
