I'd try moving the morning one slowly to midday. If he's ready to drop let him. X
@Deb thankyou I might try this
You'll have to do it slowly, I suggest by 15/30 minutes each day. He might get grumpy, but he'll adjust if done slowly enough. Maybe increase the gap every other day if he struggles. I'm sure if he keeps him busy and distracted, he'll be okay xx
My LO is exactly the same!! If she’s refusing I put her down on the floor to play herself for half hour and then I pick her back up and try again! If she doesn’t that time then she misses the nap. The evening gets harder but she sleeps a lot better for it and I pull her bedtime earlier by half hour
I cap the morning nap so the afternoon nap is longest x
Wakes up at 9/9.30 naps around 12-3 and then sleep at 8 rare occasion will nap around 4 for an hour or so if I’m driving somewhere but otherwise no afternoon nap. Perhaps because I let her sleep so long? Should I wake her?
@Hayley you do what works for you. There is no wrong way to do it. I read something about a mum who puts her little one to bed around 12/1am so they sleep in til 1pm and mum can then lay in. X
You could try capping the morning nap to 30-45 mins and then hopefully means he’ll be tired for his second nap in the afternoon.
