Third degree tear

Hey Ladies, Im 9 weeks post partum and had a forcep delivery which resulted me having a third degree tear. Me and my partner have been intimate through oral, but have tried intercourse twice and it has been extremely painful and my vagina feels really odd.. it almost feels hollow🙈 my partner says it feels normal to him, and that it doesn’t bother him. We’ve agreed to wait a bit longer for intercourse to allow full healing but it’s really getting me down. I’m worried that it will never be the same down there. Has anyone had a third degree tear and it’s gone back to normal?

I didn’t have 3rd degree tear but had small tears and stitches from forceps, it’s been 5 month now and it still hurts sometimes but way less than what it did the first time round, I think with time it gets better and take it slowly at first x

I had a 3rd degree tear and episiotomy with my first daughter 5 years ago. I think it started feeling a bit more normal at around the 6 month mark and by a year it felt like I'd never even had anything happen. My daughter is now 5 and everything is still all good. Everyone's recovery is different and it's still early days. Also lube and you may find different positions helpful. But honestly take your time and don't worry things do get back to the status quo eventually x

I was also forceps with an episiotomy and I tore internally … I then got two infections on my episiotomy which took what felt like forever to heal … sex felt off even after I’d healed .. now 5 months pp and it’s so much better ! I’d say nearly back to normal the only thing is I can feel the scar tissue from where they cut me … pelvic floors helped me massively to reconnect with down there haha x

I had forceps and ended up with a third degree tear. At 3 months pp I was in slight pain from sex but from 5months pp It started feeling a bit normal. And since then no pain at all
