Magnesium glycinate at least 500 mg
I know this seems like the opposite of what you should do, but I’ve found standing up and having my feet completely flat on the ground makes them go away really quick.
The side of my leg/ankle has been sore for 2 days from one I had like that. The worst of it lasted probably 3-5 minutes but it’s just really sore to walk now. Definitely staying hydrated helps and magnesium, and the OB said more calcium as well.
Magnesium pills and I recently started using topical magnesium. My OB recommend Mo’ Maggie cream (I got it from Amazon). She was very enthusiastic to share this tip. She used it herself and raved about it. After using it for 3days, I haven’t had a leg cramp or even felt like I might get one.
I’ve had the leg cramps for weeks now! It’s so scary cause usually you can flex the foot and the cramp goes away but these ones are relentless. I’ve mitigated the times it happens tho cause once it happened once I was like this must be stopped lmao I take magnesium gummies Eat a banana every day and other things with magnesium and I stretch my calves throughout the day. That has helped so I’ve only had two more cramps after that. Also I don’t stretch w my toes pointed when I wake up anymore.. I have to keep my foot flexed. Sad. Sometimes I’m half asleep and I almost do it and then I correct it very fast to avoid the cramp.
