Regression after new sibling is born

How do we go about encouraging our toddler to keep up with his potty training? He's about to turn 3 and been trained for a few months now with minimal accidents. Baby sister arrived on Saturday and he's poopped in his underwear 3 times since then. I know regressions are normal with big charges like this is just want to know how to help remind him to keep telling us when he needs to go and that he knows how.

👋☺ Hi @Hope This is very common when there's a new baby sibling in the house. Children tend to regress or struggle with toilet training when a new baby comes. Sometimes even months after the new arrival. Such a behavior may happen in children consciously (or subconsciously) as a sort of attention seeking behavior. Kiddos do the strangest things to get attention. Even unwanted behaviors. When there’s a new baby in the household or even just a younger sib in the picture taking up most of the attention, the first born often feels de-throned from their position of undivided love & attention. Here's a quick video that explains the different reasons for potty training regression and how to navigate thru this phase quickly and effectively. I'm here for you if you have any questions. https://youtu.be/s2nkqKQGgkU
