Grunting!

Hi all - just a bit of advice if poss My 16 week old seems to be grunting quite a lot a very low grunt - at first I thought it was was his tummy (he only tends to poop once / twice a week) but his belly doesn’t seem hard and my usual massage etc doesn’t seem to help. I was wondering if it linked to teething perhaps? And if anyone else has experience anything similar with their little ones?

Our little one does it a lot too, I'm not sure on teething but I think she sometimes does it for attention if we are talking and she's not involved she tends to do it but not going red in the face or anything! X

My LO is sort of doing this angry sound this week. Kind of like grunting I guess so perhaps they’ve just found their voice? They do the weirdest things that make us worry lol

Has your LO had a cold at all? Coughing, runny nose? Xx

He seems to do it if he’s sitting in certain positions or sometimes during a feed, but the last day or so he’s also done it and woke himself up from a nap too? But luckily not during the night. When we distract him he’s fine again so boredom could be a good shout but he does also seem uncomfortable too rather than just making sounds. He doesn’t have a runny nose but does have a little cough but have read that that could maybe be part of teething because of the excess saliva (lord there is a lot 🤣) as it’s only really when he’s a bit more reclined

Ah I only ask because my LO has just got over bronchiolitis. He was grunting and only had a cough also when he was more reclined. If he seems okay in himself that’s good xx
