Natural induction

Is there anything anyone did at home to start labor? My doctor isn’t going to induce me because I don’t have any complications and I’m ready to have this baby. My body hurts soo much doing day to day things. Any advice? Ps: I want him here before thanksgiving

nothing has worked for me i’m ngl i feel like every one lied when they say all these different things

Have sex if you can . . Or atleast try and masturbate sorry if it’s tmi , But I’m 37+3 and have been showing signs of labor already have dilated 2cm on Thursday/have been getting more intense contractions and mucus plug has come out. I’m due Nov 20th but don’t think I’ll make it to my due date by the looks of it ,

If your body isn’t ready there’s really nothing you can do to induce labor. I’ve been a 2.5since last week and my mucous plug has been coming out for days but no other signs of labor

Tbh sex did help me get into some kind of false labor and dilate 1cm but that’s all it did for me, I have tried everything too and I now 100% believe the baby comes to the world when the baby wants too 😅 unless you get induced at the hospital 🤷🏽‍♀️

Honestly I truly do believe when your body is ready it’ll do what it’s supposed to do naturally ..

@J This is what my doctors and doula tells me too. They all say that sex is the fastest way. I’m so uncomfortable all the time so it’s hard for me to get into it. But the times I have, it definitely kickstarted some labor activity. I’m 37 weeks. And it definitely helped me a little.

I was supposed to be induced today but she ended up coming around 11 so it just depends on baby. I did do alot of walking and sideways walking up the stairs plus hypnobirthing meditation once a night if you're into that and ate the dates. I was 7 cm when they checked me before admitting me

i’m eating 3-4 dates daily to thin my cervical lining, my doula suggests evening primrose oil gel capsules taken orally and inserted vaginally, also google the miles circuit.

Unfortunately the last few weeks are hard to get through. I've tried several things naturally in the past but have learned I just carry longer. Plus if you learn about pitocin you would definitely choose to be uncomfortable/have pain than go down that induction route. I carried my first tp 41+2 and my second to 41+3. I'm on my 3rd and have plenty of prodromal labor at night and some pain during the day but it's kind of how it goes. Try to be patient, I know it's hard. You aren't alone. Your body knew how to grow an entire person plus an entire organ. It knows when it's time to release them

@Makenzie I learned about pitocin and that’s why I want my baby to come naturally. I am definitely fighting through the pain and it gets worse for me at night as well. Do you have any tips on getting sleep? I currently sleep sitting up on the couch. It sounds uncomfortable but it’s the only comfortable way for me to sleep. I put pillows behind my back, along with my heating pad, prop my legs up and go to sleep. But I do get the urge to lay down. But every time I lay down it HURTS so badly.
