I had an induction last week. My birth partner was able to stay the whole time on the chair next to me. I got there at 9am, they monitored baby at 11am and I had the pessary at 1pm that same day. I packed enough clothes to stay for five days.
They will monitor you for an hour first and do a check to see if you are already dilated. My first I wasnāt and have the 24 hour pessary then the 6 hour one. I then had waters broken and they hook you up to the drip. It will then be a while until you get ready to push but you will be in the delivery suite. Also depends how busy the hospital is for how long you wait for a room. My first the whole process took a few days my 2nd less than 24 hours. Partner allowed to stay but on the horrible chairs so pack him a pillow! You could send him home during the first 24 hour one so heās well rested to help you and baby. I overpack just incase your in a while so I packed for a week and used most the stuff both times x
Hello! I went in around 9pm, and at 3:45 I had the first pessary. My fiancĆ© stayed with me every second (I was there 6 days but mine did end in a c-section) My fiancĆ© went and brought me more PJās from Tescos whilst I was there as two pairs werenāt enough!
I went in at 11am on the Thursday, had monitoring then the first gel, by 6pm I was ready to have my waters broken but ended up waiting until Saturday morning for a room to be free in delivery suite.
