Didn’t get a choice of dates I got rang in the 38th week with a date for the 39th week, I was in for 1 night, I wore a lounge set to go home (bigger size that went way over my stomach scar area), I felt normal after about 4 days-1 week, I found it ok as my husband is very hands on he can cope with our toddler and our newborn if needed (also had my mum on hand) xx
I had a section with my first and having one again. I did not get a choice of date either time. Last time I stayed in hospital one night. I wore comfy clothes (high wasted best as scar is really low) After a week, I felt weak but fine.

Mine was booked in at 36 + weeks to be done at 39 + weeks, they looked at their diary and said the earliest date available. I was told hospital stay will be 2 days and I would need to come in to have bloods taken 2 days prior and that I would get a call the night before telling me what time to come in for my c section. Would recommend loose and comfortable clothing to wear home after a c section. I haven't yet had it so can't comment on how difficult it is with a 2 year old, however I have a toddler at home who is almost 2 so will be able to answer that later.
