Anyone's little one all of a sudden doing silly "naughty " things?
All of a sudden Oliver has started doing silly things , no matter how many times I tell him we don't do that.
*Drawing on walls and family pictures with chalk. It rubs off but can still see faded colour. He knows its for his chalk board or paper but yet has started doing this so I've had to put chalk away unless supervised.
*I have to have child locks on his bedroom furniture otherwise he will touch things he's not supposed to. I thought he was in our bedroom with my husband but nope he's managed to get hold of his vaseline in his own bedroom and smear it all over his face, his bedroom window, landing walls , bannister. Window. Bathroom, cupboards and sink 😫 of course it will be my fault as per usual because i hadn't secured his bedroom cupboard properly.
*he's such a good boy taking himself to toilet and then washing hands but then brought the hand wash out with him to squirt over the settee 😩
Other night I had literally left him for two mins to go run his bath when I heard a smash of glass then him sobbing. I ran down and with the VERY short time of me leaving him he had jumped on to settee, stood on the arm and managed to somehow knock my wax burner off the shelf. It shattered in to a million pieces. (Wasn't on. Hadn't worked forever as needed a new bulb)I didn't tell him off for that, he got such a fright so I just held him and said its OK accidents happen but we don't climb on furniture.
*he climbed on to windowsill couple weeks a go too and fell in to his toy box bruising his back. He was so upset. Literally had left room just to turn oven on to make tea. Again lots of cuddles and said we don't climb up there, he's never done it again.
I used to be able to leave him for 5 mins playing independently but not recently. It's driving me crazy. Then he says I'm sorry mammy it's all my fault 😭 his little face.
Do we have to take him every where we go now?
Typical toddler stage I know but never used to be this much.
I'm not a careless parent. He is supervised loads and not neglected. Was just wondering if anyone else's little one is pushing their luck with things haha 😄 💙
I honestly think it's just their age, imagination flowing, wanting to explore, curious and genuinely pushing boundaries
