Potty training

Help! Potty training is proving so difficult. My LO hates the potty we have and refuses to even sit on it. LO won’t sit on the toilet and goes like an ironing board if I try to. I also can’t afford to buy a new potty. Any tips for getting LO to sit on the potty?

I started out by putting the potty in the room with the telly or music on and just left her with no pants on, she wouldn't go on the toilet either. I don't think she liked to be watched so I'd leave her be and just remind her to go to the potty if she needed to and she would sneak on it when I wasn't looking haha. Not sure if this will help but it could be a privacy thing and worth trying this 😬🤞

We got one of the seats that go over the “ big girl toilet “ ( the normal toilet ) and that’s how we mastered it x

Would you consider leaving it and coming back to it in another month or two? Sounds like they don’t want to just yet.

I’d honestly leave it. Sounds like they aren’t ready x

If they are ready they will show you by being happy to go on the toilet ! Our son was the one asking for the potty a few months ago so it was easy

It doesn't sound like LO is ready, definitely keep potty nearby to see if they start getting interested but at the moment I was leave it and come back to it later
