A little embarrassed…

Hi everyone, I’m a little embarrassed to post this but as a FTM I’m unsure if this is the start of my waters or from my recent activities with my partner 😳 I have put a pad on to see if anything else leaks out but it was very watery and not white/mucusy or sticky! What do we think?

Not sure but I'd ring the pregnancy assessment unit either way - I had similar last week and had to go along to be checked, it might end up being absolutely fine (it was for me) but if it was waters it would be an infection risk if left to do nothing, they said they'd rather have checked than me not go along and something have happened x

@Rachael I’ve had patches in my pants like this recently is that not normal ??

@Ebony I mean discharge and mucus plug coming away and things can be normal, if it was waters/not normal I wouldn't actually know because my waters hadn't gone in the end haha! When I went up to the assessment unit it was because I'd felt a bit of an unusual gush on the toilet and there was a little bit of fluid after too when I put a pad on - I think just generally if you're unsure they're always happy to speak to you, even if they don't want you to come in I'd say it's better to check and make sure x

@Ebony it's not that it's not normal, but if it is your waters and labour doesn't start then like @Rachael said - it's an infection risk, so it is best that you know if it is waters not not. You can go in to get swabbed to be checked x
