Second time mum struggling to bond with newborn
I have a 2 year old daughter and newborn son and I don’t feel a bond with my new baby. I feel like I love my daughter more and it feels awful to say this :-(

@Tanya thank you. Yes it’s more less bond than no bond. When my toddler is in nursery, I miss her more, like I’m grieving but actually this time at home is really nice to catch up on things!
I totally understand. First week or so of newborn I found I missed my toddler, she's in nursery too. It was really weird. But my baby is over 3 weeks now and we've started to settle into a routine. It isn't the same yet but I look forward to getting to know him over the coming years and my toddler is so cute with him.

My husband has said something similar. Not no bond but less. If you think about it, you've had 2 years+ to build a bond with your daughter, it's natural that the bond isn't the same and it takes time to build with your newborn. If you think it is more than that you could reach out to your health visitor for support.
