How far PP are you? And are you using the correct flange size?

Try some heat. Take a warm shower and massage your breasts and then pump immediately after or for about 10 to 15 minutes before you pump put a heat pack on your breasts.

Sounds like you're using the wrong flange size. You can get sets of different sized inserts on Amazon for about £5/10 - definitely worth getting as the right size makes a HUGE difference to output

I found a tight bra was such a game changer for me with pumping! And plenty of drinking to keep me hydrated

@Heather how do you know which size to use?

The health visitor told me the other day she’s met mums who can breastfeed well but pumping get nothing as the no hormone stimulation does nothing for them. Stay positive and maybe try having skin to skin with baby while pumping etc x

@Francheska I’m only 4 days pp & how do I know my size?

@Heather how do I know my size?

@Kate my baby’s doesn’t want to latch 😭😭 he hates it

Try the skin to skin while you pump one side if you can. Also have you tried him latching with nipple shields x

Firstly being so freshly PP, you will get hard boobs! You won’t get a lot of milk either as it’s changing from colostrum to milk! My boobs were painful and like rocks on day 3 during the change! You should measure your nipple and use the correct flange size in accordance to that. You can buy nipple measuring guides online, I use the Nullie one and it’s great. Your nipples can change size throughout your post partum journey so it’s best to check every so often x
