Weaning off breast

Anyone else made it to 6 months and now looking to wean off breast? How are you doing it? I’m struggling as baby is constantly looking for boob to comfort. I am proud to say I’ve made it this far but I do want my body back! I’ve started introducing formula at night and random occasions during the day but she still routes for my boob even after a huge feed! Any advice welcome please

Can I ask how you got little one to take formula I’m trying to swap his night feed from breast to formula as I’m also wanting to wean of breast now but he really won’t take a bottle I’ve tried every thing online I’ve tried different bottles, teats, temperature, positioning, time he just won’t take it and I’m stuck with no choice but to breastfeed x

What is kind of working with me is, when baby's hungry after nap I'll breastfeed.. then a little later some purée attempts then someday rejection someday wolfed down.. then breastfeed again for soothing and back to nap (if I'm lucky obviously). Like I said, kind of working.. she's 6 months and 1 week. Take it easy! And good luck xx

@Yolanta tbh we had him having expressed milk when he was just a few weeks old and luckily he managed to take it as well as breast. I know it’s really difficult as my friend is also going through trying to feed her one a bottle but she won’t take it. I’ve just been told persistence is key. Have you tried a bottle with just your breast milk in?

We was doing expressed milk to begin with then I just found it too time consuming pumping so often but we do have stored in freezer so we’re trying with breast milk again but i think it’s the feel of the bottle as well as the taste difference with milk he knows as soon as it touches his lip what it is and starts kicking off 😓 c
