Milk can sometimes take a week or two to come in. Don’t stress too much right now
Also check you are using correct flange size, etc x
My milk didn’t come until like 5-6 days after birth. Her first feed was expressed colostrum but after that she was on formula- I couldn’t get colostrum out. But once my milk came in she went to breast milk
Absolutely fine ☺️ For the first few days you’ll only make colostrum - which is all baby needs. Milk usually comes in around day 3-5 x
I had to feed bub my colostrum whilst in hospital, (around 90 syringes) and he had the lot within maybe 36 hours? He was a big boy though. My milk then didn’t come in for another 4 days and my colostrum had stopped so I had to give him formula. I am exclusively pumping so now he’s just on breast milk during the day and formula at night! It will come in! Drink loads of water and eat lots of oats!
It takes normally 3 to 4 days for milk to come in. You should get colostrum which is orangeish. Do skin to skin before hand for like 20 minutes then give your breasts a good massage before pumping
My milk also didn’t come in until about 4-5 days after having baby. Don’t give up and remember to pump every 2-3 hours x
You’ll only have colostrum right now, there won’t be huge amounts of it. Your baby has a really tiny stomach and doesn’t need a lot!
