Car seat

Anyone got any tips to stop baby screaming everytime they are in their car seat? When I try and put my son in the seat he screams, get to the car and as soon as I get him clipped into the iso Base he screams. And then the majority of the time in the car he screams.....it's getting to the point where the idea of leaving the house is getting quite miserable. Any mums out there in the same boat and have any tips?

Hey - I’m in the same boat! My 4 month hates the car seat and will scream the whole time. Only way I’ve found to help is chatting rubbish or singing to him the whole time 😂😂 I know this isn’t very helpful but your voice will calm him 🤍

Heya! Do you still have the newborn insert in by any chance? Our LO used to be the same but now having removed the insert he is a lot more content and is even back to falling asleep during car journeys. Our insert advised to remove at 60cm and our LO was measuring 59cm at that point so we took the chance 😅

God I have the same issue, I think most baby’s go through this phase! I had to sing the longest rendition of old Macdonald had a farm to get him to shut up for 20 minutes 🤣

I have the same, we attached a spiral toy thing on the car seat handle which keeps my little girl occupied sometimes. She has a chat to the mirror and toys attached to it which stops the screams on some journeys!

We were the same. LO just turned 4 months but is the size of a 7/8 month old so we decided to move him into the miniuno spiro 360 seat and he’s so much happier. Not sure if that’s an option for yourselves. But I feel you. No toys helped at all

Just coming into this phase….and I remember similar with my daughter when she was the same age. I think with her she just grew out of it. It’s painful tho!

I go in the back when my husband is in the car so baby can see me and that works perfectly. A friend said she has her car seat in the passenger seat so her baby can see her.

Maybe look at the next size car seat, dependant on what infant carrier you have they can be quite uncomfortable for babies x

Going through the exact same with my baby boy. Can put him in the seat but once start to buckle he literally screams/cries from then until he's taken out and is held for a few minutes to calm down. If it's just me I'll talk to him and sing, if husband is with me I'll sit next to him, sing or talk to him, play with his toys, stroke his head. Nothing works. Hoping it's just a phase and he'll grow out of it soon 🤞.
