We’ve got drooling and chewing hands, which I take to mean it’s starting 😬
@Deborah that’s true. I’m noticing the same for my girl. She’s constantly putting everything in her mouth, which I know can be expected in development anyway, but she’s trying to bite on literally anything and everything. She’s drooling a lot too and her gums have turned very red. She also seems very irritable and a lot harder to settle at the moment, but didn’t know if it was too early 😅 xx
@Ellie how’re you finding it?? My babygirl been feeding herself her hands for a few weeks now.. but I thought might just be part of her starting to learn her hands and hand eye coordination.. but she’s now drooling too, and is a lot harder to settle down now. Plus she’s biting literally everything in sight 🤣 xx
For sure yes my 3.5 month old is. For a week she’s been dribbling so much she goes through 3 bibs a day. Everything goes in her mouth and if I put something like a teether or my finger near her mouth she instantly clamps down. She’s been so irritable through the days and up many hours a night it’s given me headaches from the cries and my tiredness. Usually such an easy going and happy little one and now very temperamental and can’t focus on things for very long. She absolutely loves trees so I’ve found a daily walk is restbite for us both rather than toys all day etc. She’s had some red cheeks off and on and her gums look red but you can see white parts in the gums - the gums are not sharp to the touch yet so the teeth aren’t ready to come out of the gum but they’re obviously moving. I actually bought some teething gel for 3+ month olds today and have tried that and twice it has calmed her after a few minutes and we’ve had a better afternoon than we’ve had the last three days or so.
My LB started teething at 5 weeks old, I mentioned his symptoms to the GP at his 6 week check and the doctor looked at him and checked his gums and confirmed he was teething... Lots of dribble, chewing on literally anything, red cheeks, smaller feeds, more naps, generally miserable
Red cheeks alternating sides, red/swollen gum on and off, chewing knots everything. Trying to put things to his mouth to chew, messing about with bottle, not happy! My first teethed from 13 weeks and she didn’t get her first tooth till 7 months 😮💨
My baby drooled a lot at 3 months, but I’ve just recently observed redness of the gum and her wanting to chew on clothes or anything at all at 5 months, 3 weeks and lots and lots of drooling of course, but still no teeth. I just think teething signs comes on and off in some babies, cause I also have same on and off thing with my wisdom teeth as an adult
