Induction Day

I’m getting induced today because of being diagnosed with cholestasis and I’m so nervous. I’m hoping with everything that everything goes smoothly but this is so foreign to me I just don’t know what to expect or how I’m gonna progress. I literally found out about this yesterday afternoon so I feel like I’m not even fully mentally prepared. If anyone has good induction stories or techniques that worked for them I would love to hear them.

I was induced to 37 weeks 3 days with my son it started to be on a cervedil for 12 hours and then gave me cytotec I did walk a lot during the first 12 hours. after my water broke I got an epidural and a few hours later I had him it was uneventful and the best way

i was induced at 36 weeks for cholestasis as well, they gave me the pitocin and broke my water via balloon, i'm going to be completely honest, the contractions were absolutely horrible, i tried to fight through it as much as possible but little man's heartrate started dropping so they gave me the epidural and was about to prep me for a c section, he was NOT having it, the epidural didn't kick in at all and he started coming, i pushed 5 times and he was out :) it truly wasn't a bad experience other than the contractions, he's my first baby and tbh i wasn't expecting them to hurt so bad but he popped out no problemss, not too much pain pushing and no tears!

I got induced at 37weeks and 3 days and they started me out on cytotec and just walked around to help move things along, i was on that for 4 hours then got an epidural and started pitocin, about an hour after that they came in and broke my water and i had him 30 minutes later. I wish you the best of luck! i felt super unprepared but it was all worth it and you got this momma!
