I did and was sooo worried about standing up for myself being a first time mum and felt very pressured by the consultant. I was offered one after my growth scans despite baby being healthy and growth following the 50th centile throughout them all - low Papp A wasn’t affecting baby at all so there was no reason to offer one but they still did. I declined and I went into spontaneous labour at 40+3 and baby girl came at a healthy 6lb 7oz. Stand up for what you want to do, it’s your body and your birth! 🤍xx

I initially declined it because I was fine and so was my baby he was measuring big and then I had a horrible consultant tell me “if anything happens to you or your baby it’s your own fault”. So obviously I went home and thoughts were rushing through my head and was made to feel like the worst was going to happen if I didn’t do it so I did. Had a terrible experience which ended in a c section. Only person who was absoloutely fine throughout the induction was my baby 😂 8lb 3oz very healthy weight even though they said his growth had declined via a growth scan which proved to be inaccurate 🥲 If I could go back I would decline x

We also complained and were told the growth scans in later pregnancy are far less accurate because of the size of baby and when we asked the consultant he said the scan is about 20 % accurate
