Have you booked as soon as your baby has a tooth??

@Hollie-May Not yet. When I registered my LO with dentist a few weeks back, they said to have them booked in asap even with no teeth 🦷

I took my baby back in August for her first dental appointment. No teeth to show but its the gums and roof of the mouth etc they are interested in. They have us a free toothbrush and paste for babies and told us how to brush etc when teeth come through. We go back in January for her 2nd appointment. I am happy to have gotten her registered early.

My dentist told me to book as soon as first tooth appear :) that's what I did with my 1st and since then he have control every 6 months.

Baby was still in bassinet at the time and no need to get her out.. Dentist simply leaned on in gently and opened mouth to check one side and then done the other too. It was all very gentle and relatively quick. She wore gloves obviously.

They don't really do much other than briefly check their teeth and gums . I think the main point of having appointments so young is to get baby used to having their mouth checked (unless there are any concerns of course)
