Biting and throwing self

When my daughter (1) gets upset she throws herself back or tries to bite. Example- I’ll take her out of the bathroom and close the baby gate we have because there’s no door and if I’m holding her she’ll try to bite me anywhere and if I put her down and if I don’t sit with my hands behind her she will throw herself flat and hit her head on whatever is behind her or the floor. I feel like I’ve tried everything to get her to stop doing it. What do I do???

my son does this and he is 1 also!! or he has been trying to hit us wherever he can when we try redirecting him

I’ve tried everything else, I’m not sure what else to try

The throwing your head back is something I see a lot in children with sensory disorders. Their feelings overstimulate them to a point of a full fit, and as they dont understand the concept of head trauma, throwing the heaviest thing on their body to the ground is an easy tactic

My daughter (1) slams her head into stuff when told no or ect

If I do anything she doesn’t like she does this and it’s frustrating. She’s kinda mean lol I just wanna keep her safe

OMG my little girl is like this! I also don’t know what to do 😭

my daughter had this phase, not the biting but throwing herself backwards 😅 honestly no advice but it’s just a phase and shouldn’t last too long

I mean it’s good to know it’s probably just a phase

My son did the same. I bought an infant “bike helmet” off Amazon. Best thing I ever did. He learned quickly that it was there to help him and he even started being more careful when he had it on 😂 As far as the biting goes he still does that so I’ll take any advice on that one 😅

My mom keeps telling me give her options. “You can’t bite mommy but you can play with/do this or that. I’m starting to do it and will let you know how it goes lol
