Bottle fed babies - My baby is never finishing bottle! How to stop snacking?

This affects sleep and therefore my mental health. We do 2x the recommended bottle feeds but at half the oz. Is it an intolerance thing ?

I’d speak to your health visitor if you’re worried! Every baby is different but they’ll be able to support and reassure you :)

I find my boy always finishes his bottles throughout the day. Through night, he probs leaves 1 to 2 oz. Day he drinks 5oz. He wakes 2x throughout the night and is 7 weeks old. Just for u to compare, but always speak to HV, who will be able to advise further.

I remember getting it ready, two sips and then a nap....just wanted a comfort and cuddle. They can be tricky even tiny! As we mostly do baby led it can be tricky to get out of these patterns as they have their own rhythm. X

How old is your baby? Are they falling asleep on the bottle? Just an idea but you may need to go up a teat size, to a faster flow one . If they find it hard to get the milk out , then they end up tiring themselves out and then fall asleep before getting a decent feed. Xx

Maybe reduce the amount of bottles and increase the oz. Baby will snack if that’s all that is offered to them. How old if your baby? My 5-6 month old has 4-5 bottles a day 7oz and usually finishes everyone but sometimes he’s full and leaves a few oz

8 weeks… and we waste a lot of bottles. LO has 80ml on average and just one bottle of 120 a day

On demand :/
