Kicking and screaming during diaper changes

My daughter clearly hates diaper changes as much as I do, she will do a "360 death roll" as I call it and start crawling away with poop all over her. She will scream until she can't scream anymore, she will flare and kick. I bought a diaper changing pad that straps her in so she can't start crawling away on me. I play mrs Rachel while it's happening, I give her toys, sing to her, give her a diaper to play with, but it doesn't stop the death scream! I'm starting to lose my mind with it. No matter what I do she won't be calm during a diaper change. I wish I could avoid putting clothes on her afterward but if she isn't wearing anything she will rip her diaper off and poop and pee everywhere.

I’m so sorry. I change my daughter’s diaper standing up if it’s pee. Don’t know if that could help?

My sons the same. I’ve accepted it and started sitting him on the potty more, getting ready to lock in on potty training in the next few months. Hang in there ❤️ we use cloth diapers so it harder to snap but if he’s in just a disposable, it’s off as soon as my back it turned.

My daughter hates diaper change and change of clothes

I have “trained” my son that when we do diaper changes he gets to watch cocomelon on YouTube on my phone. It’s the only time I ever give it to him so it keeps it special to diaper changes and it’s been working for about a month now. When the change is over he gets to watch until the song or whatever is over and then he basically hands it back until next time

My son also, we started doing them standing up while he’s holding a toy or I’m distracting him with crazy noises and faces and it works much better for us at this stage before we are able to start potty training.

My son loves diaper changes cuz he likes to play with his penis😭

Have you tried distracting? My son likes to play with the wipes. Helps diaper changing for us.

Same boat 😭😭 we recently hung a lion picture above his changing table (it’s his fam animal) and now instead of death rolling he’ll stand up and point at it which is arguably a lot easier even though I have to adjust the diaper a few times than the poop all over the place.
