I would make sure you have a place for baby to sleep, clothes, diapers, swaddles, burp cloths, pump and supplies (or formula), and items for your postpartum care. There’s plenty more to have but the essentials are what’s necessary. Make sure you’re informed of safe sleep practices, how often to feed and how much to feed, hunger cues, burping, wake times, tummy time, breastmilk storage guidelines if you’re breastfeeding, etc. There is so much to learn but there are so many people and resources that can help you along the way!
