When did your little ones start clapping?

Mine has been clapping for two months as well

Yeah a couple of months ago too.

My little boy is completely uninterested in clapping however much I try to encourage him 🙈 he waves and points and can say a few words and moves around at rocket speed but no clapping and he's just turned 11 months! Did you guys do anything particular to encourage it?

My little boy started clapping at 8 months x

My son started at around 6 months x

My little boy can't clap but he has been independently walking since 10 months. I think they just concentrate on one big milestone at a time. He can bang toys together when holding so I know the motion is there, also waves and points so I'm not bothered at all. He'll do it when he's ready.

@Harriet not really, we would just say "yayyy" and clap. So then anytime we said yay she would do it as if we're asking her to clap 😂 Then she heard happy and you know it a few times at nursery and started clapping to that song too

@Cassie I'm not comparing at all, just wondering if my little one didn't crawl for so long (not even army crawling) because she was busy learning to clap, dance, wave and point 🤷🏼‍♀️ Now she doesn't really crawl per say, she gets up on all fours (hands and feet) and "walks" around like that 😂 so I know she'll be up and walking sooner rather than later too She's also a late December baby
