C section recovery and new body

Hey mums I’m on my 5th week of c section and I’ve grew some hair over my my scar which I assume is normal as we grow hairs on our body esp if we don’t remove it for sometime. However has anyone removed their hair over the scar and what week and is it safe to do esp with a light razor 🪒 kindly share your stories with me Also just shocked at my new body and trying to adapt to it any tips on what ppl did to lose weight as theirs a stigma esp pressure from my family that ppl who have c sec barely lose weight ans always have big bellies

i’m 3 months post c section and i still can’t properly shave over the scar, i probably lightly brushed over it with a razor in the second month but i still can’t get a close shave

@Jami why can’t you shave iss it coz the doc said or does it hurt . As I haven’t really asked my midwife if we r supposed too and if its safe

Wait until your scar is heeled and ot doesn't look like it'd open at all any more if that makes sense, I'm 7w pp and only shaved for the first time this week around that area I had been stopping at a point to mske sure I didn't hit it or go near it. Just always remember your body has carried your little baby and it's going to take a very very long time to fully recover from that! The mum pouch will be there for a while unfortunately but it's a reminder of the miracle it's helped make!! X

@Alisha it doesn’t exactly hurt, it’s just with it being numb it feels horrible, i still have tan above the scar that im unable to scrub off with the feeling, it was the same with my first section too - it’s just the feeling for me

I’m 3 months post c section and I could shave over it after 6 weeks. I also lost all my baby weight staying active, exercising and eating healthy. Xx

you will know when it’s safe for you to shave down there, i think i shaved lightly around 4 weeks pp but i didn’t shave properly till 8 weeks because it was more comfortable to pull on my skin around the scar. just make sure you’re keeping it extra clean and use a new razor as well because it can so easily get infected Xx

Mines above where my pubes grow except 3 little stranglers. So I just tweezer them. I'd wait until you're fully healed and the scabbing has gone before going over it

Don’t rush to lose any weight and try not succumb to any outside noise (know it can be hard) you’ve just grew and gave birth to a Human. Allow yourself to feel ready and be cleared from exercise by your doctor- especially post c section. I’m a fitness coach and be happy to help but make sure you are ready for it and want to rather than the outside noise ☺️

@Magenta yes I’m taking the losing weight slow but I also want to fit into good clothes although my diet is not the best choc lover 🤣
