9.5 month old baby- delays

My son (2nd born) is 9.5 months and was just referred to early intervention by his pediatrician. I very much agree with the concerns. He’s NOT: - getting into sitting on his own - crawling - pulling up -responding to his name consistently - taking “turns” with talking - gesturing consistently -“dancing” - looking around when you say, “where is mama? Where is the duck” -copying expressions (other than smiles … he will return smiles) - lifting arms to be pick up (he does “lean in”) -“showing us” his toys He is: - sitting unassisted -eating well - sleeping well - smiling - laughing -babbles on own - dadada, mamama, etc - cries when his loved ones leave - interactive and loves songs/ games like peekaboo - very very very occasionally clapping or doing other gestures -CONSTANTLY “stimming” - wiggling around his arms and legs … happy or neutral - playing with toys … banging objects together, passing objects back and forth -making eye contact My question is …. Does anyone feel that this closely describes their child/ friend/ family member’s kid at this age? If so, how did things turn out? I’m a teacher (special education) and my “gut” (or maybe it’s just anxiety) has be suspecting autism … and yes … even at this young of an age!!

I feel like those seem age appropriate... My son (firstborn) was early on everything (crawling, walking, speaking, etc) than my daughter (second born). However it never hurts getting evaluated to see if the therapist recognizes anything.

Hello, I had the same experience as you! My twins got their evaluation when they were 18 months old but I noticed it when they were 9 months as well, now they are 3.5 years old they are doing great in school!! Early intervention was the best helps a lot!! If you need a friend or someone to talk about it im all ears :) im here 💛 you got this mama!!! Everything is going to be good 😊
