Does dummy help with colic ? But Nipple confusion?

I don’t give my 3week baby a dummy but she seems to have colic and people are telling me to let her soothe with a dummy. She’s only breastfed and my worry is she will have nipple confusion and we will lose our latch? :/ I have the bibs company pacifier which is meant to help avoid confusion but does anyone have any opinion or experience on this ?? Thanks x

not the same dummy, but i also didn’t plan on giving a dummy cos i was scared of nipple confusion but it actually has helped so much and i’m pleased we’ve done it! i also exclusively breastfeed and if it helps i introduced a dummy this week (my baby is also 3 weeks), and it soothes him and we’ve had no issues with nipple confusion. our dummy is MAM hope all goes well for you! xxx

EBF here and have Tommy tippy orthodontic ones and no nipple confusion. Don't know how we'd cope without a dummy!

We’ve used the mam dummies since day 3 and it’s not affected breastfeeding. If anything it helps him settle and not use my nipple as a dummy 😅

Thanks ladies, I don’t know why I’m so afraid of my breastfeeding to mess up at all! @Abi she doesn’t use my nipple as a dummy but I thought maybe it could help soothe her when she’s crying like crazy for hours and nothing works!

Also EBF and has used the bibs dummies since day 2/3 and no nipple confusion x

EBF and we use a dummy at night. No nipple confusion. Helps as she uses me as a dummy and sometimes again, with wind and stuff she's just going for comfort when she's put down.

Hey have any of you used infacol for your baby to help them along?

@Lisa yep with every feed really!

Thanks to everyone for your experiences x
