Breastfeeding & periods

Anybody still breastfeeding their November toddler? And how are your periods if you do? Mine started back at about 7months when she started having food and then was pretty regular but I’ve missed my period now for maybe 2 months. She has upped the amount of milk she has lately by alotttt so I’m guessing it’s my hormones. Has this happened to anyone else? *definitely not pregnant*

Mine started back at 9 months and have been regular since, more so than before i had her! I’m trying to wean at the minute so interested to see if it changes anything. Maybe speak to your gp if you’ve missed a couple xx

Mine started back at 10m and have been pretty regular, a couple of days diff here and there. She hasn’t upped her milk though as I feel like my supply can’t keep up with her actually, it’s dropped massively since I went back to work!! A lot of the time she sucks but it doesn’t come out if she’s not long fed.

Mine have still not started back. I got it for a month then that's it. Definitely not pregnant too. Mines also upped the amount of milk and I can't cope 🙃🤣 x

Mine started back when my son dropped down his feeds significantly at around 14 months, but interestingly when he got ill and wanted to feed a lot more, they stopped for that month. Then he decided he only wanted to feed from my right boob, and since that they’ve come back regular. I’m sure the frequency of breastfeeding impacted it for me

Mine started back at 3 months which surprised me as my little one has always fed loads. They were really regular until a few months ago when my cycle started getting shorter by a few days each month. I think age (late thirties) has something to do with it for me. If age isn't a factor for you though I would get in touch with your GP as I don't think breastfeeding should affect your cycle so much at this stage, especially if you were having regular periods until two months ago. It's worth also contacting a breastfeeding specialist to ask this question as if she's feeding a lot it might be hormonal. I hope you get to the bottom of it
