Induction for your second child

Was it quicker? I feel like a lot of stories I hear are first time births. And I'm incredibly hoping the second one is a lot faster! I would love to hear your experience for your second baby that you were induced for because they were refusing to come out. Thank you so much in advance ☺️♥️

My first induction was terrible. PTSD. They did everything. The cytotech, foley bulb, pitocin. The induction took over 48hrs from start to finish. I even had a fully retained placenta where they had to go in and rip it out after baby was born. So when they told me I had to be induced for my second, omg I was terrified. I’m happy to report that it was a dream birth. Beautiful. The induction probably 8 hours from start to finish. Didn’t need any cytotech or manual dilation. Just pitocin and my body did the rest! 20 minutes pushing and baby came. It’s almost guaranteed that your second induction will be so much quicker, especially having close interval pregnancies. Good luck and congratulations mama!

First delivery was awful, second was so much easier and faster. They started me on pitocin at a 1 just to start contractions while my ob was coming and within ten minutes they turned it off because it was going too fast. when they were setting up my iv for the pitocin I started the proposal movie and by the Bachelorette party scene baby girl was on my chest

Honestly these stories are so welcoming and appreciated! 😭 Thank you!

11 hours for my first and 3 for my second. Had my waters broken for both but nothing else
