Very early contraction feelings 🤰🏻

For reference, I'm 38+3 and booked in for an elective csection on Wednesday x

I had period like cramps that turned out to be contractions. I had it from Friday night and gave birth on Saturday night. The birth took about 15 minutes.

I've been having this for a few days now, I finally got fed up with it yesterday and got checked at the hospital and the doctor looked at my cervix and said "if your waters break or the pain gets stronger and more consistent come straight back, otherwise keep dosed up on paracetamol and rest"... which I took to mean things are getting started we'll see ya again soon, maybe I'm being optimistic 🤣

Had this since Thursday and unfortunately still waiting for little one to arrive!

I’ve had this for the past 2 weeks (currently 39+2) booked in for my elective on Tuesday so I’m hoping it stops haha x

I’ve had this for weeks but I’m now 41 weeks pregnant so it could be but it also couldn’t be!

I’d just add that if the headache gets worse (think worst headache of your life) or very consistent, call your midwife or triage line- can be a sign of pre-eclampsia 💚

@Becky thanks lovely, I've been keeping a close eye on it. The headache goes with paracetamol but the stomach pains stay 🥲 if things aren't easier by tomorrow I will give them a call anyway xx
