Colic babies

How can I help a breastfed baby with colic? I’m so desperate, crying all day. We’re currently on holidays in Spain

How old is your little one? I know it won’t help you right now, but honestly, it does get better with age. I found that I couldn’t really do much as such, and just soothed my bub to let them know I was there. You literally have to ride it out. I also saw a cranial osteopath, who also recommend biogaiai drops which have helped 😊 hang in there!

@Rachel what makes you think formula will help? I don’t mean this in any particular way, I am genuinely curious. If baby is used to breastmilk then introducing formula unnecessarily won’t be doing any favours for mums supply nor babies stomach. The mum above will then have to express whilst somebody gives the formula and this could aggravate bubs tummy more, especially if they’re struggling with colic. Breastmilk won’t be causing the colic in the slightest x

@Jade he’s 4 months. We’re in Spain for two weeks so unsure of what to do

Is it definitely colic? What is bubs doing? x

@Jade he’s just not sleeping great and crying a lot. He’s teething too but I have him paracetamol and didn’t do anything, he’s very upset

He’s making this sound and crying

Have you thought about allergies? One of the symptoms of CMPA for my son was excess gas. Perhaps try cutting dairy out for a bit? See if it helps. It's often over looked in BF babies. Be sure not to replace everything with soya as lots of children have allergies to both xx

@Clarissa will mention it to the gp once we’re back

Just a bit of warning, some GPs think it's a load of crap sooo don't dismis the idea. I know so many mothers that have cut stuff out of their diet for their babies and things have changed dramatically x
