I used disposable briefs at the hospital (given by them) and just 1 for myself at home and then just long night pads
@Barbara you are right. i was tempted to buy on Amazon two different kits and then return the one I don’t need. I wanted to be prepared. I didn’t know they give you some stuff at the hospital. What else will they provide?
@Beatriz they gave me pads during the induction as well as you bleed a little bit, I think it’s pretty much it
@Barbara plus the briefs you mentioned, right? Thanks
@Beatriz yes yes, exactly! Pads and the briefs :) xx
@Barbara saaame I even wanted a pool birth and bough outfits for the pool 😂😂😂
Essentials would be - Comfy big dark knickers Pads Loose fitting comfy clothes I’ve had two vaginal deliveries and honestly this is all I’ve needed both times! I did have a peri bottle the first time but didn’t for the second. As for c section I’m sure they’re are other helpful things but if your planning vaginal i would go with that for now and if it’s changes someone can get you the things you need at the time! Xx
I used the Frida kit and the hospital basically gives you everything to. How much you use / need does depend on stitches too I got two small stitches and one slightly bigger one. The ice packs were so nice! Tip: if you like something you are using at the hospital page them say you are out and they will bring you more, baby diapers, pads for you, nipple ointment etc. don’t forget stuff for your nips if you plan on breast feeding. Lanoline and nipple shields are life savers I didn’t even think about it when I was pregnant I thought it was gonna be such a breeze to do. 😂
@Molly thank you
@sarah thank you
I would wait and buy according to the need. I planned a vaginal birth and had a c section. I bought a lot of disposable pants as they say you bleed a lot but after the c section I used just night pads and it was fine. Vaginal birth will always depend if you have stitches or not, so if you have someone that could go and buy stuff for you afterwards I wouldn’t buy anything now
