I'm 3 months pp from a vaginal birth and have been spotting to a little more than that, since birth. This is also my 3rd. Mine stopped a few days around 5 weeks and then started again. I had a depo shot around 5 weeks, so I wonder if that's my reason, but im not so sure. I'll probably ask my OB next month when I get my next shot.

I’ve seen someone else say it’s because they had a depo shot but I’m actually not on any birth control and I’m breastfeeding

@Sierra I bled for a few months straight when I got the depo after I had my son 12 years ago, and then I had NO period for like 7+ years. Then I bled several months straight when I got off of it. However, I wanted to let you know that after 3 health pregnancies, then going on the depo shot for many years and coming off, I couldn't get pregnant, and apparently, it's pretty common after the depo. I tried for 2 years, timed sex, clomid, etc.... and nothing. I ended up having to do IVF to get my handsome little dude. I don't want to scare you, but if you want more kids, I would hate for you to stay on it for years and then have the issue I did! I know everyone is different, so just do your research!

@Gianna i was on depo for about 3 cycles, I got off in March and got pregnant in November with my 3rd child.I'm okay with not having another. I am terrible with taking pills,I've heard bad things about iud, and me, nor my husband wants to do any procedure. I don't want depo long term, just long enough to figure out what's next. However, I'm really sorry that happened to you, I can't imagine what you went through. I really appreciate the concern and for sharing your story. Glad to hear you were able to get your little dude!
