Induction

I’m due to be induced today, waiting for the hospital to call me in, what did people wear to be induced? from a nervous first time mum, who’s unsure of what to expect, any positive stories that could help ease some of the anxiety?

I wore a lounge set to mine. I had the best induction last Tuesday. Pessary went in at 1pm, started contracting at 6:30pm and had my baby at 8:34pm with two pushes! Not all inductions are bad. You’ll be fine!! Good luck!! X

I just had leggings and a t-shirt when I went in, obviously just took the leggings off for the checks and gel to be inserted. Then at night just switched to my PJs which I took shorts and glad I did as it was warm. My induction was really positive, two gel inserts with a very quick labour. I am currently 37+6 with my second but no induction this time so just playing the waiting game! Good luck x

I also opted for comfort for my induction: leggings & loose top + sports bra. My induction experience was also very good. Straight forward 2 pessary - epidural - oxytocin drip delivery. Once I was fully dialated, the pushing part was very quick. (Second bubba, tho 💚, my first one was spontaneous births @ 40+4 gas & air only, also a good experience, oberall very differnet to my delivery with epidural) I was super nervous beforehand, but went with the flow & tried to keep an open mind when options were offered and decisions had to be made 😊💚

I am just in the process of having mine. Had my first set of gel and just waiting to be assessed as it’s nearly been 6 hours! Hope yours is going well! X
