Generally if you not losing weight, it is because your body thinks you need it. Try adding some extra calories like nut butters, eggs, avocado, nuts, red meat if you eat it. And move your body. Be kind to yourself it is a big adjustment for your body. A long history of restricting your calories could also be contributing.
Are you pumping or breastfeeding? I don’t know if pumping has the same effect on weight loss and breastfeeding does. Either way you should be eating well to make nutritious milk as the other posters have said. Be kind and give it time! Your body has just done something amazing and needs some time to recover x
@Michelle he’s 3 months
Your body needs fat reserves to produce milk and will hold on to them to ensure that. Even my slimmest friends have said until they totally stopped BF they struggled to shift the last bit of weight they gained. For many it’s hard to loose much for the first 6-9months due to hormones but also BF demands which will change when you start to wean. Also reduced sleep makes it hard to loose weight, it increases your cortisol which again makes you hang on to fat. I think the saying 9months in 9months out is so true in terms of when to start expecting to see some normality when it comes to postpartum body image. Give yourself time, you’ll get there ♥️
3 months is still super early!! Definitely be kind to yourself and give yourself time. You are still recovering from birth/pregnancy right now 🥰
Thank you girls for the reassurance! ❤️
How old is your baby? It takes a while for your body to change postpartum. You also need to eat well (not trying to restrict calories) while BF. Be kind to yourself and give yourself time 🥰
