Advice from women who have given birth after previous emergency c-sections

Posted in another group but had no response, hopefully will be some here who can share their insights/experiences.. Me and my partner are going to start trying for our second in the new year, our daughter is turning 2 this December. I didn't have the best birth, had to be induced and that led to an emergency c-section. My concern with the second is the possible heightened risks of being pregnant after having had a c-section and if the midwives and doctors will end up pushing me down a route to have my second also by c-section. Recovery with mine was OK but long and I resented not being able to hold or pick my baby up easily or feed her easily without twinges and pain (she was a long baby right from the start!) and I dread having that long recovery again. I'm also fearful of concerns over issues that can occur during pregnancy as I loved my previous pregnancy, didn't have really an ounce of worry and don't want this one to be plagued with concerns over potential new baby's or my health. Anyone with any experience or advice much appreciated

Hey, I had an emergency c and will have an elective c this time. But I was given the choice and jot encouraged either way. x

I had an emergency c section in October 22 and a successful vaginal birth (no induction) in August 24. The risks are higher if there is less than 18 months between births or you get an induction. If the pregnancy is otherwise risk free there is no reason you can't have a vbac. I just made a birth plan that said if I hadn't gone into labour by 41+3 I'd have an elective c section that day.
