@sarah I do both pumping nd direct breast feeding dear.. I am doing this from her birth till now with the same pump but from last one month I am feeding her directly more than pumping.... Really I am soo worried about it
I've been going through this exact thing. I've been pumping exclusively since 3 weeks old. I spoke to my heath visitor and a few other mums who suggested pumping more frequently. I had stopped pumping in the night but added it back in to build it back up again. Also stress is a big cause of milk supply issues and I've been under a lot of stress lately so I've been trying to relax especially when pumping. I do some power pumping sessions as this mimics cluster feeding and kick starts milk production. X
@Gayathri ohh ok. When you breastfeed your baby does she seem full after?
@sarah yes she is
Going through the same thing at 4 months. Ive been exclusively pumping since birth. I rented the Medela Symphony hospital grade pump and it helped massively. Worth a try! And as others said make sure your flange size is right. Also membranes need to be replaced every 3 months.
I had something similar recently I went from an over supply to 3/4oz when pumping. I wasn’t too worried as pumping is never a reflection on your actual milk production. Babies are a lot more efficient at getting milk out than pumping. I’d suggest putting baby to the breast as often as possible and pumping immediately after feeds from anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes. If you’re pumping and not breastfeeding I’d pump for 15/20 minutes every 3 hours and at least once at night between 1am and 4am. Might also want to make sure your pump flanges are the right size for you as if they’re not the right size this can make you take out less milk x
