I would not try to DIY a mil spouse divorce or really even one that’s going to be a big fight. But otherwise check with your county courthouse to see if they have a legal aid clinic or provide help with family law forms. Ours does like one day a week. The forms and instructions are also available online in my state (FL).
Have lots of money for a lawyer if you know your husband will take you to court..
My parents went through an 8 year custody battle. My dad received majority custody. I wanted to live with my mom, it was also my disclosure that led to my dad receiving custody. I would just make sure everything is in order before you move forward out in the open. Make it easy, create a list of all the steps you’ll likely need to take. Try using chat gbt to get answers quickly, but cross check with legal information for your state as it can be inaccurate.
I have no advice but could end up the same and I am just sending so much love. If you need a daily checkin friend, I’m perpetually on my phone. ❤️
I’m in a similar situation. It has been brought up multiple times though. I am clueless how to start the process. But he is also active duty and I know he will try and take the kids and dogs from me. He has already said he would leave me with nothing. Even though I do everything and the only reason he has anything was because of me and before I was a SAHM. When he comes home, he lays on the couch on his phone.
