Weaning support

Hi ladies, For the last week or so my husband has put down our baby for a change and she had managed to fall asleep with a lullaby and her light up stars teddy bear. I have been feeding her to sleep for 17 months now so this is a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. The has woke up during the night a few times as she co sleeps and she has wanted to latch on. I managed to try and sooth her last night but there was alot of protesting and crying. She hasn't been breastfed since last night and I just feel so guilty. I'm trying to stop and wean her and this could be it because I have gone since last night and she's ok so far. I nearly gave in today because I felt so bad but I'm keeping strong. Any tips for tonight And how to soothe her? She co sleeps and always has done.

Night weaning is not recommended until after 18 months and it’s not always for hunger but comfort and security too. My daughter didn’t night wean until 2yo.
