Baby won’t take dummy- ive tried mam and bibs and none are working

My baby is combi fed- breast and then formula top up. My first daughter used to drink from mam bottles and take the mam dummy but she wasn’t breastfed. This time around baby is using my breast to fall asleep and screams when i try to give her a dummy. With the mam ones she was gagging and got so frustrated. The bibs ones arrived yesterday and she took them twice but only when she was hungry and i had to calm her for a couple of mins. She makes funny faces when i put the dummy in and screams otherwise. To fall asleep she wants to be on my breast- i’m not planning on breastfeeding for long as my supply isnt great so dont want her to rely on breast for falling asleep. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have found nuk dummies the best for my LO x

I'm trying to get my combi-fed baby to take a dummy as well, I've found the video on this page helpful about how to encourage him to take one. It's still a bit hit and miss but I didn't have time to practice with him yesterday. https://takingcarababies.com/newborns-sleeping-with-pacifiers#:~:text=on%20her%20own!-,Is%20a%20pacifier%20required%20for%20Taking%20Cara%20Babies%20classes%3F,%2C%20or%20without%2C%20a%20pacifier. My first combi-fed baby wouldn't take a dummy at all, think I left it too long.

@Tanya did your first baby use breast to fall asleep? I’m really dreading her doing this for months to come , dont know how else to get her to sleep otherwise

She did in the night but no, we also got her to sleep in pram/carrier/car, she could be rocked/bounced to sleep too. On the bright side at around 5 months she learnt to suck her thumb and self-settle, so we worked on it a little and she could be put down and go to sleep herself. She's been a great sleeper since and stopped sucking her thumb herself over time. Just add in some other ways for your baby to go to sleep and she won't just rely on breast.
