Baby moving too much?

39w+5 and having cramping pains and then baby starting moving a lot more than usual. Is this a sign of labour or something is wrong? Is baby in distress?

I would ring triage for advice xx

Ive been having the same thing, im 39+2. My baby is quite active as it is but honestly, the cramps alongside so much movement😬

I’m also experiencing this. I’m 39w 1d and over the past week I’ve been experiencing cramping, etc. My midwife says it’s latent labour and not braxton hicks because of how long the cramping lasts for, etc. Since the cramps my babies movement is crazy, very active and I worried that baby would be in distress. I’ve been sent away twice as they said “there is no such thing as baby moving too much, only too little”. I am with you, and would call triage, but you may be sent away like me 🥲 x

@Sophie that isn't true - erratic movements can be a warning sign

@Katie I know, I agree - which is what I said and suggested she goes to triage and just hope she doesn’t get sent away like I have.
