Can you eat spicy food and while breastfeeding will it give the baby heartburn? Will it give the baby colic? If I do

I can’t say for sure, but I can say I ate what I ate while pregnant and my baby sucked that milk right up regardless. Never any discomfort and she actually never had colic. I mean I like spicy so I ate it for sure. Also my main cravings were slim Jim’s, Cajun boiled peanuts, and strawberry milk. And she’s never had issues with that either

The only way to know is to try it. You won't know if it affects bub or not. However, some cultures eat diets with high spice and heat. They also feed their babies.

Yes you can. As with what to eat when actually pregnant, much of it is based on little to no actual science. Your breast milk is made from your blood not what you ingest and so, bar dairy, which has a specific protein that can pass into your milk and caffeine spicy food is fine. Go enjoy!!

You can eat it!

Exactly what @Katie said! Breastmilk is made from your blood so you eating something spicy won’t impact baby

Yeah just makes their farts stink lol
