We haven’t cracked it either he’s fine if naked but anything on his bottom half and he just pees through it all, he’s also not bothered about having accidents
Thank you ladies. It’s so difficult isn’t it. I just feel like everyone has cracked it but us ☹️ it’s making me feel so sad! Absolutely no interest in any of it and kicks off for nappies and just refuses to do any of it now ☹️☹️☹️
You're not a failure! We started in January but only feel like we've "cracked it" it in the last month. We tried books, stickers, charts, lots of praise etc but he just didn't care. Resorted to bribing with chocolate a month ago and he's had hardly any accidents at home since (nursery is still a different story though).
Maxi is the only child at preschool (in his school year) that hasn’t cracked it even the younger august babies have! We have the added complication of speech delay and autism (waiting for diagnosis) if someone constantly takes him every 20-30mins he’s fine and knows what to do but in my eyes being toilet trained means being able to take yourself/ask to go if you need it not relying on someone taking you!
Nursery school leave them a lot to fend for themselves and don’t really do anything to support toilet training, they invited us to a toilet training session, and we do and have tried everything they said and have been all this time with no success. I’m at my wits end and I just don’t know what to do 🤦♀️
To be honest our babies are only 3. I think they will have cracked it by the time Sept 25 comes. Even then they may still have the odd accident. Try not to put pressure on yourself or little one lovely. My friend decided to scrap nappies completely , her little one is "trained" but has accidents too but she won't go back to nappy. I'm just not that confident yet haha when it comes to leaving the house xx
Thank you for your lovely words Ruth. We feel such pressure as mums don’t we. Sometimes I’m not sure this app helps me. It actually makes me feel like a failure.
You are def not a failure! My inbox is open. These types of apps you will always get mixed advice. This group I find more supportive as our children are the same age xx
I'm struggling too!! He's cracked it until I put trousers on. Fully trained in just boxers then boxers with shorts. But as soon as I put trousers on he just has accidents and doesn't attempt the toilet, like he's no longer aware. It's frustrating. You def aren't a failure. Xx
