Changing nappy during the night

If you’re little one was to feed then take forever to go back to sleep, then do a poo, would you change them if it means starting the sleep process all over again, or would you wait for their next wake???

Always change when it's a poo. It will give them a rash if it's left on the skin

Definitely change their nappy. It’s so bad for their skin to be left in a poo nappy, even a wee nappy for too long. It will break babies skin down and cause rashes and burns from the acidity in the poo. Also, think of it like would you want to be sat/laid in a poo nappy for hours yourself? I know I wouldn’t x

My LG only really grunts in the night, and I bet wouldn't even wake for a feed if I left her. I always change her nappy before a feed. I've fed her every 2-3 hours tonight so far, and even though she's only done a small wee, I think I'd hate to be led in that for even half hour, let alone longer xx

My baby is the same, I always change him at the start of a feed to wake him up then he poos while I feed him. He always looks so content and sleepy before I change him again then completely wakes up and takes forever to go down after :(( yet to get the hang of night changes!

If he’s not fully awake we tend to change, feed, change and then mini feed at night to get him back down as he often poos mid feed. If he’s awake and hungry we feed straight away and then change. It can be a long process but wouldn’t leave it as it can’t be nice to go back down to sleep in a dirty nappy.
