Not losing weight

Does anyone else hold in the weight while breastfeeding? I've been working out almost every day and going on long daily walks, and I eat pretty healthy and drink lots of water. But I've only lost about 15 pounds since giving birth (I'm 10 and a half months postpartum). I still have 30 pounds to go but it's not going anywhere.

Same. I can’t lose regardless of what I do.

Im in the same boat! I’ve heard that your body holds onto fat while you’re breastfeeding/pumping bc your body needs fat to make milk. My friends have said they did experience that to be true once they stopped breastfeeding and pumping so that’s reassuring!

Hi, pre/postnatal fitness trainer here 👋 It's very common for your body to hold onto some extra weight while breastfeeding. For this reason, I would recommend tracking progress in a way other than the scale (photos, how clothes fit, etc) I would also make sure you're fueling yourself properly by eating enough and ensuring you're getting adequate protein. Working out every day and long walks on top of the demands of breastfeeding and being a mom is going to require you to really need to refuel! I'm launching a postpartum wellness program in 2025 with a black Friday deal.
