@Libby dec 3 I’ll be 38 weeks in just a few days
Same. All I’m feeling. I’m 37+3
Honestly, the way i knew was when my back had some pressure. It’s super cliche but you really will know. once your back has pressure then moves to the front it’s a go. mine were 7-8 min apart then 2-3 so just time them
@Alyssa could very well be the start of things happening
I was getting this yesterday, so I relaxed in the recliner and drank some water. Thankfully it passed after a while… i think it’s just the Braxton hicks ramping up preparing your body for the real thing. You’ll know they’re the start of actual labor when you just feel kind of different, like with each baby I’ve gone into labor with that morning I just wake up feeling “weird” like different than previous days. Sure enough once the contractions start, they don’t stop. They increase in intensity and then get closer together. Eventually you won’t be able to walk or talk through them and that’s how you know it’s baby time!
I read the difference between braxton hicks and labor contractions is that Braxton bicks are lower in the stomach and they aren’t painful just uncomfortable and it’s your muscles practicing for labor. With labor contractions you will feel them on top of the belly and tightening, those will actually be trying to help move the baby down and loosen your cervix.
I've been having contractions for a few weeks now. Just not consistently. My stomach has dropped so much. His head us do low, and they couldn't measure the whole thing. I'm not due till Dec 2, but my last was born at 36 weeks, so I thought this one would have come early, too. I'm losing part of the much plug. Any day now would be nice. I'm 38 weeks today and it's my 5th baby. Good luck to all other mommies!
When is baby due?
